Weaving is an art that has long been associated with craftsmanship and labour. We have designed a rug that depicts an example of the throw away culture that lazy news reporting has become. Its material quality creates an ironic relationship between time consuming handmade skill that is weaving and the trashiness of the image it shows. This project is WIP, at present we can only show a digital fabric print of our rug design.
